Representatives from School of Business Informatics organized Annual workshop of Special Interest Group on Big Data Applications Processes  of Association of Information Systems within International Conference on Information Systems - 2018 in Seoul, Korea.

The programmes in Big Data Systems and International Business have entered the QS Business Masters Ranking in Business Analytics and Management. Published for the first time, the ranking is based on an analysis of over 300 universities from more than 40 countries.

2^nd Year MSc Students of Big Data Systems, Alexander Suleykin and Yash Madhwal, successfully completed 6^th DAAAM International Doctoral School week, which was held in Zadar, Croatia from 5^th November 2017 till 12^th November 2017.  Under guidance of Dr. Peter B. Panfilov, they successfully presented and defended their research paper at 28^th DAAAM International Symposium.

According to the decision of Sergey Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow, four HSE staff members were awarded badges of distinction and titles of honor.

On June 28, 2017, the second graduation ceremony for the double-degree Master’s programme in Big Data Systems (HSE, Russia) and Information Systems Management (UAS Technikum Wien, Austria) was held at the Austrian Residence. Dr. Emil Brix, Ambassador of Austria in Moscow, gave the opening speech. During the reception, he congratulated graduates on successfully completing the programme and stressed the importance of cooperation between the universities for multicultural and professional communication.

The students of Big Data Systems master’s programme have good opportunity to participate in different exchange programs with international partner universities. One of the programme lead partners is EURECOM Sophia Antipolis (France, Nice) which embraces our students every year. Starting from 2015/16 academic year the cooperation between HSE (Big Data Systems master’s programme) and EURECOM Sophia Antipolis was supported by Erasmus + Mobility Program.

The first graduation ceremony for the double-degree Master’s programme in Big Data Systems and Information Systems Management took place one year ago. We met our first graduates, Sebastian Kollmann and Daniela Sefzig, for an interview. They talked to us about how they spent this year.

During the period from March 13 to 30б 2017, School of business informatics conducted an intensive course on big data analytics delivered by Visiting professor Andreas Rauber from Institute of Software Technology and Interactive Systems of the Faculty of informatics at Vienna University of Technology (Technische Universität Wien, TU Wien).
