Abstract

The course "Fundamentals of Business in India" focuses on the study of the economic, legal, and institutional foundations of entrepreneurship in contemporary India. It examines the historical and social factors that have shaped India's business environment, as well as the key features of its national economic model as well as its historic evolution. Special attention is given to the analysis of regulatory institutions, market structures, and the mechanisms of business-state interaction. Students will explore theoretical approaches to studying entrepreneurship in developing economies and learn to apply them to the Indian context. By the end of the course, participants will be able to critically assess economic policies, institutional conditions, and the prospects for doing business in India.
