Our courses: Linguistic data analysis: quantitative methods and visualization

The course introduces basic techniques of data analysis based on descriptive and inferential statistics as well as common visualization methods. Our aim is to provide students with practical skills that allow them to process and interpret linguistic data. The theoretical background of the methods, their up- and downsides are discussed. The topics include, among other, verification of hypotheses, correlation and regression analysis, dimension reduction. The main tool is R-Studio.
