On Wednesday, November 18, the National Research University Higher School of Economics hosted a regular meeting of the All-Moscow seminar "Mathematical methods for analyzing optimal solutions in economics, business and politics".

At the twelfth BRICS summit held on November 17, Russian President Vladimir Putin and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping spoke via videoconference about the importance of the BRICS Energy Research Cooperation Platform. Researchers from HSE Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge and the Institute for Economics and Regulation of Natural Monopolies are involved in the work of the Platform.

An article by the ISCID assosiate fellow, professor of University of Bremen Michael Rochlitz, Evgeniya Mitrokhina (HSE University) and Irina Nizovkina (HSE University) "Bureaucratic discrimination in electoral authoritarian regimes: Experimental evidence from Russia" was published online in the journal "European Journal of Political Economy".

ASEEES (Association for Slavic, East European, & Eurasian Studies) Virtual Convention was held online on November 5-8 and November 14-15. This year the main theme of the conference was “Anxiety and Rebellion”, six ISCID team members took part in the event.
