The Department of Economics and Finance and IDLab congratulate Marina Zavertyaeva on the successful defense of her PhD thesis!

We have made four poster presentations at OHBM-2019, a major neuroscience conference held in Rome and sponsored by the Organization for Human Brain Mapping.

8th Annual Conference of the International Center for the Study of Institutions and Development (ICSID) «Political Economy of Redistribution and Institutional Change» took place at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow on June 13-15, 2019. Over the years the conference has turned from a small scientific event into a serious platform for discussing actual issues in the field of political economy, and has already become a tradition for many researchers to visit.

On Wednesday, June 19 the all-Russian seminar "Mathematical methods of decision analysis in economics, finance and politics" was held. G. Almukhametova gave a lecture on "Network analysis of scientific interaction on the problems of the Arctic".

Director of the HSE Center for Language and Brain Olga Dragoy, and Andrey Zyryanov took part in the international conference European Low Grade Glioma Network, held in London.

Ekaterina Stupina from the HSE Center for Language and Brain participated in the international Bootcamp on quantitative methods in L2 research.

Alexander Sokolov, Director of the Foresight Centre and Deputy Director of the HSE ISSEK, visited Shanghai (PRC) in early May to take part in the International Pujiang Innovation Forum. The forum is annually hosted by the PRC Ministry of Science and Technology jointly with the Shanghai Municipal Government to discuss and coordinate decisions in the science, technology, and innovation policy area. This year the participants shared their expectations about the period until 2035.
