The 13th scientific seminar “Modern Demography” was hold on 7 February. At the seminar, Evgeni M. Andreev, Ph.D., head of the International Laboratory for Population and Health (NRU HSE) made a presentation on “Demographic Indicators in the May Decree of the President”.
Dmitry Veselov, Associate Professor at the HSE Faculty of Economic Sciences, presented his paper "Migration of Russian settlers and the legacy of interregional development in Kazakhstan" at another session of the regular Research Seminar on Diversity and Development.
HSE International Center for the Study of Institutions and Development (ICSID) and NES Center for the Study of Diversity and Social Interactions held the first in the new 2019 year joint Research Seminar on Diversity and Development on February 6, 2019.

The paper "Legal Mobilization in Russia: How Organizations of Lawyers Can Support Social Changes", by Andrei Yakovlev and Anton Kazun has been accepted for publication in the peer-reviewed journal Crime, Law and Social Change.
