ICSID Research Fellow David Szakonyi took part in the 90th Annual Meeting of the Southern Political Science Association. He presented his paper "Apathy or activism? Examining the determinants of pro-regime mobilization in Russia".


The paper "Legal Mobilization in Russia: How Organizations of Lawyers Can Support Social Changes", by Andrei Yakovlev and Anton Kazun has been accepted for publication in the peer-reviewed journal Crime, Law and Social Change.

A hosted lecture by Professor Eric Maskin "How to Improve Presidential Elections" at the Faculty of Economic Sciences on December 13 was followed by by the meeting of the DeCAn lab Staff with the Nobel Laureate.

Sarah Wilson Sokhey, ICSID Associate Fellow and Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder, received the Ed A Hewett Book Prize for her book "The Political Economy of Pension Policy Reversal in Post-Communist Countries" that was published by Cambridge University Press in 2017.
