Course Syllabus

Abstract

Global Operations Management (GOM) focuses on the set of processes that create goods (and/or services). GOM refers to the global integration of the purchasing, production and distribution processes within a firm. The efficiency of such an integration constitutes a major competition factor. The performance is measured in terms of costs, quality, lead-time delivery and flexibility to respond to changes. This course presents the fundamental issues concerning information and flow management optimization in processes and supply chains, both for manufacturing and service companies.

    The exam is taken written. Please be careful and follow the instructions clearly! The platform: The exam is conducted on the StartExam or Google Forms platform. The link to pass the exam task will be available to the student at MS Teams chat. Students are required to join a session 15 minutes before the beginning. • Rules for the exam o Download the MS Teams application on your desktop / laptop teams.microsoft.com in advance. Smartphone testing is not allowed. o Check in advance the quality of the Internet, the operability of the camera and microphone. o When connecting, you must specify the real surname, name, patronymic. Otherwise, you will not be allowed to test. o The camera must be turned on during the entire test. o Make sure your head is above center in the frame and there are no windows or other bright light sources behind your back from the laptop camera. o The student has no right to provide access to the computer to third parties during testing. o If a student is noticed cheating, he/she will receive 0 points for the exam without the right to retake. The student is allowed to: 1. Use only one mean of displaying the image during testing (monitor), one keyboard, one manipulator (computer mouse, trackpoint); 2. Use headphones. The student is prohibited to: 1. Use your phone and mobile devices; 2. Use the messenger; 3. Open web pages in addition to the test; 4. Use books, textbooks and synopses; 5. Go out of sight of the camera; 6. Speak out the questions; 7. The presence of other people when taking the test; 8. Copy / write down the test questions.
