Academic Supervisor of the Master’s Programme “Modern Asian and MENA Studies” at the XVI International Economic Forum "Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum"

From May 13 to 18, the Republic of Tatarstan hosted the XVI International Economic Forum "Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum." As part of the forum, the First International AAOIFI Conference took place — a major event organized by the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI), a key institution in the field of Islamic finance.

Among the forum participants was Elmira Elmanovna Imamkulieva, Academic Supervisor of the Master’s Programme Modern Asian and MENA Studies and Head of the Laboratory for Contemporary Iranian Studies.

Dr. Imamkulieva also completed a training course in Islamic finance organized by AAOIFI and received a certificate signed by the Secretary General of the organization — Omar Mustafa Ansari (Kingdom of Bahrain).

High-ranking guests from different countries were at the conference: Sheikh Ibrahim Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairman of AAOIFI, and Sheikh Muhammad Taqi Usmani, Chairman of the AAOIFI Shariah Board – both from Bahrain, as well as key representatives of Russia – Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, Deputy Minister of Finance Ivan Chebeskov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Financial Markets Anatoly Aksakov, Senior Vice President of Sberbank Oleg Ganeev, and Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank Alexey Guznov.
