Round table "National identity" of the "Western" East: Japan"

On 26, April the Round table “National idea/identity of the “Western” East: Japan” was held at the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs in which the results of research project under the guidance of Professor Galina Nikiporetz-Takigawa were presented.

Students Nonna Gasymova, Yulia Shurygina, Anna Sobakina, Maria Butrimova, Dao Quynh Trang of Master’s programme “Socioeconomic and Political Development of Modern Asia” discussed their findings in the framework of the project. Chairman of the Association of Japanologists, Head of the Department of Oriental Studies at MGIMO University, Doctor of Historical Sciences Dmitry Viktorovich Streltsov conveyed a welcome speech to the participants of the project.
