Start of the academic year and classes according to the Academic Calendar

SEPTEMBER 1 - OCTOBER 15

Retake period of Modules 3 and 4 results

BY SEPTEMBER 15

Submit your student ID card for extension to the Study Office

MID-OCTOBER

Selection of the thesis (Final Qualification Work) topic from the proposed list and submission of own topics to potential supervisors in the LMS.

Before submitting the application, approving of the topic with the thesis supervisor via email or other communication means is mandatory.

BY OCTOBER 24

Student Evaluation of Teaching (SET).

After the 1st module, students evaluate courses, projects, and practices for which interim assessments are scheduled in the 1st module.

You can access the survey in the LMS under the module “Course Evaluation,” or complete the SET on the SET website by logging into the MyHSE Services Account (ЕЛК).

Student participation in the evaluation is mandatory.

OCTOBER 25-31

Examination session.

Detailed information about the organization of the exam session is available in the “Study Process and Knowledge Control” section.

No classes will be held during the exam period.

BEGINNING OF NOVEMBER

Selection of received applications for the proposed thesis topics.

MID-NOVEMBER

Additional period for thesis topic choice or initiative topic proposals by students.

The topic is considered finalized once the application is approved by the thesis and academic supervisors in LMS.

A student who does not select a thesis topic by the deadline is considered academically indebted.

NO LATER THAN 1 DECEMBER

Submit an application to the Career Center of the HSE Graduate School of Business for a practical training agreement.

BEGINNING OF DECEMBER

Course Selection Campaign – a mandatory activity for students to create their individual study plan for the upcoming academic period.

The main goal is to add Magolego courses, and choose a schedule.

The course selection tool is the SmartWay service.

BY DECEMBER 10

Submit an internship application in LMS. Instruction is available here.

BY DECEMBER 19

Tuition payment of the 2nd semester.

Payments can be made:

• via the HSE payment system – https://pay.hse.ru/en/ using your contract number

• at a bank branch or via your bank’s mobile app

• through the HSE App X

After making payment, please upload your receipt/screenshot via the form.

Change of thesis supervisor in LMS in the module “Paper/Thesis Topics”.
