Distribution procedure of students to study tracks on «Applied Social Psychology» master’s program

  • 20th of October

    No later than the 20th of October,  1st year students must inform the program manager about their first and second choice track. This is conducted via the online-form, which will be distributed to students’ corporate e-mails. If there are only two tracks available on the program, the students choose only their first priority track. The second track is considered to be the track of the second priority by default.

  • Before choosing a track, the student must formulate their potential thesis or the scientific field in which it will be conducted.  It will be an advantage if you have made arrangements with your scientific supervisor. All this information should be reflected by the student in the online form, where the track is selected. Student’s interests should correlate with the contents of the chosen track. The discrepancy between the student's interests and the content of the track may be the reason for the track manager's refusal to record the student on the track.

  • 30th of October

    The academic supervisor together with the track coordinators and the program manager will distribute students among the tracks by October 30th (inclusively) taking into account their preferences. The correspondence of the thesis topic and the contents of the track will be considered primarily, followed by the number of points a student received in the admissions test. Finally, it will also depend on the number of available places on the desired track.

  • Deviation from the deadline for selecting a track and the distribution of students among them (20th of October, 30th of October accordingly) is possible for students, who were enrolled on the program after the 24th of August. Those, who were enrolled on time and hadn’t made a choice before October 20th will be distributed among tracks by the academic supervisor upon consulting with the track coordinators.

  • The students will be enrolled in the order (from the highest score received to the lowest):
     - on the first priority track, provided there are enough places on the track of the first priority;
     - to the track of the second priority, provided there are no empty seats on the track of the first priority.

  • Track coordinators can increase or decrease the number of available places in favor of another track, upon agreement with the academic supervisor of the program.

    The results of the distribution of students among tracks is published by the program manager on the program’s official website and distributed to students via corporate e-mail

  • During the educational process, students have the opportunity to change tracks with consent from the track coordinators and the academic supervisor of the program. The discussion of the issue is possible with the student’s scientific supervisor, but is not obligatory.
