How to apply
We encourage you to apply as soon as you feel that your application is ready. Please note that only applications received before February 28th will be considered for government quota scholarship.
1. Create a Profile
On HSE’s online application form, click “Get login and password”. You will be asked to enter your personal details (full name, date of birth, gender, email address, and mobile phone number) and what type of programme you are applying to.
Your login and password will then be sent to the email address that you have provided.
Please note that all applications are pre-moderated. Your application for a login and password shall be usually approved within 24 hours, but it can sometimes take longer. Applications are reviewed during business hours, from Monday till Friday.
After your application has been reviewed by the moderator, you will be notified by the e-mail that you provided upon registration. If no reply appears for a long period of time, please check your spam folder where messages may end up due to problems with mail service providers.
2. Log In
Once you have received the email containing your login and password, you can return to the online application form and log in.
3. Complete Application Form
After logging in, you will immediately see the application form. Please fill out the form. There are several attachments that you should be ready to upload:
a) Scan of the first page of your passport
b) Summary of your undergraduate thesis OR project proposal
c) Scan of your diplomas and academic transcripts (if you have not yet received your Bachelor’s diploma, please include an official copy of your most recent academic transcript)
d) Letter of motivation (describing your reasons for applying in the context of your long-term career goals and background, 500 words)
e) Resume/CV (including information about your education, professional, and research experience, as well as language proficiency and other skills)
f) Exam results confirming language proficiency
You can see the detailed criteria for your documents here.
Please upload all attachments as PDF files and include your last name in the filename (for example, Smith_Diploma.pdf)
Mandatory fields are marked with (*).
An application is divided into several sub-sections. Upon completing each section, please press the “Save and Continue” button. After saving the information, you may proceed to the next section. Please note the previous section cannot be edited further.
If you try to save data, and the field becomes highlighted in red, this means that incorrect details were put into the field (or a required field was left blank).
Please note that, if there is a downward arrow to the right of the field, you must select an answer from the drop-down list, which will appear once you press the arrow. Dates must be specified as follows: DD.MM.YYYY.
You may edit your application by selecting the “Edit” button in each section until the application is completed and submitted to the moderator for review. After making any amendments, make sure you properly save all information.
FILES PROVIDED IN THE ATTACHMENT TO THE APPLICATION FORM
While filling in your application form, you will be requested to attach copies of certain documents. Files in attachments must meet the following two criteria:
- The size of a file is limited and must not exceed 15 Mb. The overall size of all files in the attachment to the application form is not limited.
- You may only download PDF documents, with the exception of your photograph, which can be submitted as a picture in a JPG, PNG, TIFF or BMP format. A message may be sent to the moderator in any of the following formats: JPG, PNG, TIFF, BMP or PDF.
After your application has been submitted, you may be contacted by a programme manager about setting up an interview. In rare cases, applicants may be exempt from interviews; if you do not receive an interview request, this does not mean that your application has been rejected. We know that it’s difficult to wait, but please do not write to us to inquire as to whether and when you will be receiving an interview invitation.
Tuition-free scholarships are awarded to highly qualified applicants to this programme. All applicants will automatically be considered for tuition-free scholarships.
