On December 19, HSE Rector Nikita Anisimov and Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov met in the capital of Kyrgyzstan. The parties agreed to implement a joint project to train staff for the economic block of the government of the republic. As part of the project’s first stage, the Higher School of Economics of Kyrgyzstan will be created on the basis of the Training Center of the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan with full methodological support from HSE University. This was a new systematic step in expanding cooperation between HSE University and the Government of Kyrgyzstan.

HSE University has a rich history of cooperation with both organisations and citizens in the Kyrgyz Republic. It actively cooperates with the government of Kyrgyzstan and participates in the professional training of students and teachers from the country. Today, there are 12 cooperation agreements between HSE University and 11 partner organisations from Kyrgyzstan, including leading regional educational institutions such as the Kyrgyz Economic University named after M Ryskulbekov and the Kyrgyz State Law Academy. In addition, Kyrgyzstan ranks fourth by the number of HSE applicants in 2022.

HSE University in Perm has established close cooperation with the Training Center of the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan. In 2020, a memorandum of cooperation aimed at developing academic, educational, cultural and other types of relationships was signed between the Center and HSE University in Perm. Since the signing of the memorandum, major events have been held on a regular basis. In 2022, the IV Open International Forum on Public Procurement and the III International Scientific and Practical Conference were held.

During a meeting in Bishkek, HSE University Rector and the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan evaluated the experience of interaction as successful and agreed to expand cooperation. As part of the work to create the Higher School of Economics of Kyrgyzstan, HSE University undertakes a number of obligations to support the educational organisation. HSE will provide full methodological support for its development, as well as take part in the work to assess the competencies of students and develop advanced training programmes for teachers.
