At different times, Mr. Anisimov served on a number of public councils, including: the public council of the Moscow Department of Education (2014 - 2016) and the public council under the Education and Science Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation (2017 - present)

In 2019, based on the results of the XII Congress of the Russian Rectors Union, he was elected to the board of the Russian Rectors Union. In May 2021, he became the chairman of the Primorsky regional branch of the Russian society ‘Znanie’.
Nikita Anisimov was born on February 20, 1978 in Khimki (Moscow region).
In 1998, he graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU).
In 2001, he defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (PhD).
From 2002 to 2013, he worked at MSU in the following positions: Leading Specialist, Department Head, Deputy Vice Rector, Deputy Chair of the Central Admissions Committee, Director of the Institute of Retraining and Continuing Education, Vice Rector.
From 2007 to 2009, Nikita Anisimov served as Executive Secretary of the Russian Council of School Olympiads.
From 2013 to 2016, he held positions of Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, First Vice Rector, and Acting Rector at the University of Mechanical Engineering (Moscow).
From August 2016 to June 2021, Nikita Anisimov was Rector of the Far Eastern Federal University.
Starting July 2021, he heads HSE University.

On July 2, Mr Anisimov was introduced to the HSE Academic Council at its meeting at HSE campus in Pokrovka. Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Yaroslav Kuzminov, HSE University Academic Supervisor, and HSE University President Alexander Shokhin took part in the meeting.
