On April 4–14, HSE University will host the XXIV Yasin (April) International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development. Every year, the conference provides a forum for leading Russian and international experts and government officials to discuss timely issues related to the economy and social policy.
The main events will take place in Moscow on April 4–14, 2023 at HSE University. The event programme includes plenary meetings, special sessions, and round tables where participants will present and discuss reports on the results of new research. The reports will cover such timely topics as the economy, the social sphere, healthcare, education, demography, the labour market, and others. A total of 24 subject-specific fields have been announced.
During the conference sessions, representatives of the expert community will discuss the development of AI, the effect of sanctions on the Russian economy, issues of internal migration, support measures for families with children, the development of small and medium-sized businesses and the main problems they face, and much more.
As always, the conference will feature the participation of members of the Russian government, representatives of the Presidential Administration, federal and regional state bodies, regional leaders, and representatives of Russian and foreign companies and international organisations.
The conference will be held in a hybrid format. Section sessions and other events will take place in person, with the possibility for some speakers and other participants to connect online. Conference events will be held in either Russian or English, and in some cases both with simultaneous interpretation.
