The Russian Science Foundation has completed its review of projects submitted for grants to support fundamental and exploratory research by teams, as well as 2022 grant winners applying for project extensions. In addition, interdisciplinary projects for fundamental and exploratory research awarded under the Presidential funding programme have been announced. Projects awarded under each of the three categories include submissions from researchers at all four campuses of HSE University.

At a recent research seminar hosted by the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy (IDLab) at HSE University, Perm, Laboratory Head Petr Parshakov presented findings from a new study on how people perceive text written by artificial intelligence versus humans. The results were unexpected—and challenge common assumptions about AI.The research team included Yulia Naidenova, Deputy Head of the Lab; Sofia Paklina, Junior Research Fellow; Nikita Matkin, Research Assistant; and Cornel Nesseler, Professor at the University of Stavanger, Norway.

Two research projects from the HSE University Perm have been awarded grants by the Russian Science Foundation (RSF). The projects were selected as part of the RSF’s competitive funding program for fundamental and exploratory research carried out by individual scientific groups. Out of nearly 4,500 proposals, 534 were selected based on expert review—including two from the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy at HSE University

On March 27, 2025, Danila Parshchikov, a research intern at the ILSIR, took part in a working meeting of the Center for Curative Pedagogics “Special Childhood” with employees of social institutions in the Chelyabinsk Region.

On December 13, 2024, ILSIR research interns Maxim Gurin and Danila Parshchikov took part in a round table on the results of the project “Life arrangements for adolescents and young people with disabilities “The Key to Adulthood””.

The Tale of Two Rooms: Comparison of QuSpin Zero-Field OPMs’ Operation in Two Magnetically Shielded Environments addresses both metrological aspects of OPM application and practical issues of signal quality improvement. 

On May 21-23, the school will be held in Moscow on the basis of the Center for Bioelectric Interfaces and the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience of the National Research University Higher School of Economics.

On March 21, a seminar "Formal Philosophy" took place, at which Ilya Gushchin (UrFU) gave a presentation titled "Metaphysics in the Philosophy of Mathematics and Epistemological Consequences for Proof."

March 19, 2025, International Laboratory of Digital Transformation in Public Administration at the HSE University organized and conducted a roundtable titled "Virtual Reality and Real Law: Regulation of the Gaming Industry," dedicated to the development of the national video game market, digital transformation of creative industries, and issues of regulation of the industry.

The GES-2 Community Center, together with the International Laboratory for Social Integration Studies at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, announces the start of accepting applications for the Third Annual Interdisciplinary Conference “Exploring the Deaf Community”. The event will take place from October 17 to 19, 2025, and will focus on the diversity of life experiences of the deaf community, including understudied groups such as deaf-blind people, late-onset deafened people, hearing parents of deaf children, and others.
