Presentation topic: "How to talk to the human brain with AI - interactive contact with neural tissue"

HSE University hosted a student conference “Protection of the rights of the users in the Metaverse”. Research fellow of the International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration Evgeny Diskin took part in the conference as a moderator of the first section. 

On June 27, 2024, a workshop dedicated to the interim results and prospects of research conducted under the RNF grant "Factors of Resource Intensification for SMEs in Conditions of External Uncertainty" took place at the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy at HSE University (Perm). Participants discussed key achievements and steps in the project aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in a changing economic environment.

Research assistant from the Center for Language and Brain, HSE University, participated in the online conference on psycholinguistics held on 5-7 June, in the Max Planck Institute.

On June 7, Valeria Nikolaeva, an intern researcher at IL LogLinFF, made a presentation on the topic of "The Search for Bisimulation in Python" at the research workshop "From the Logical Point of View".

The fifteenth meeting of the Working Group was held on June 4, 2024,jointly chaired by N.Y. Kudryavtsev, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, and Sun Jian, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China. The event was held in Yekaterinburg on the basis of the Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin.

On the 7th of June Natalia Zevakhina successfully defended her doctoral dissertation "Experimental and Corpus Studies of Linguistic Pragmatics: Informativeness, Illocutionary Types of Sentences, Metalinguistic Comparison".

From May 31 to June 2, 2024, the second interdisciplinary conference ‘Researching the Deaf Community’ was held at the GES-2 House of Culture, organised in collaboration with HSE University. The international forum brought together experts from 11 countries and four continents. Participants discussed topics related to the social, cultural, and linguistic characteristics of people within the deaf community in the modern world.
