On May 15-17, 2025, the VIII St. Petersburg Medical Innovation Forum with international participation was held in the Almazovsky Cardiology Center in St. Petersburg.

Evgeny M. Styrin, Head of the International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration, completed an internship and exchanged experiences with colleagues from the Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Macau (from April 21 to 26, 2025).

A team of researchers at HSE University, in collaboration with scientists from Russian and foreign universities, has investigated the impact of electrical brain stimulation on learning new words. The experiment shows that direct current stimulation of language centres—Broca's and Wernicke's areas—can improve and speed up the memorisation of new words. The findings have been published in Neurobiology of Learning and Memory.

Senior Research Fellow at the International Laboratory of Digital Transformation in Public Administration at the Higher School of Economics Maria Yudina acted as a debater at the session "Citizens and the State in the Age of Digital Communications" of the XXV Yasin (April) International Scientific Conference on Economic and Social Development.

April 26 - May 4, 2025, Fethiye (Turkey) hosted a major international scientific forum – the ICSM2025 and ICQMT2025 joint conference, which brought together the world's leading experts in the field of superconductivity, magnetism, innovative and quantum materials. The Forum has become an important platform for discussing the latest experimental and theoretical achievements aimed at developing advanced technologies and searching for new functional materials.The Center's scientists traditionally take an active part in this conference, demonstrating a high level of scientific research and strengthening international scientific ties.

The topic of the plenary lecture is "Magnetoencephalography: methods of registration, processing and new applications".

On April 29, 2025, the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation hosted a public presentation of the results of a study devoted to parental perception of the implementation of an ethical information protocol when a child is suspected or diagnosed with a disabling diagnosis. The event was attended by the head of the laboratory Elena Iarskaia-Smirnova and research intern Mikhail Korzh.

On April 28, the ILSIR hosted a seminar of the HSE FSS project group entitled “Educational Courses for the Elderly as a Resource for Active Longevity.” The speaker was ILSIR research intern and postgraduate student Egor Novgorodov. The topic report: "Gamification and video games for older people: trends and prospects." The founder of the social project Everland, Igor Novikov, spoke as a discussant at the seminar.

Petr Parshakov, Head of the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy, took part in the final round of the All-Russian Olympiad of Schoolchildren in Economics as a member of the jury.

The joint project of the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy of the National Research University Higher School of Economics - Perm and the research team of Iran University of Science and Technology is aimed at studying the role of intellectual resources for internationalization of companies from developing countries in the conditions of exogenous shocks. It became one of the winners of the contest “International Academic Cooperation” of the National Research University Higher School of Economics.
