About the Programme

The Faculty of Chemistry has specially arranged opportunities for Students to have hands-on experience in conducting scientific research related to their study. Apart from research experience, outside classroom workshop including cultural activities and industrial visit to give participants a brief understanding of industrial establishments in HK as well as have a taste of Chinese culture. It aims to provide student with the opportunity to conduct a research project for widening their horizon and applying their knowledge practically.

Participating students will be registered for the following 6 credit-unit course
Summer Research Project for Science Students

Possible Internship Research Areas:

• Photoredox and Metallaphotoredox Catalysis
• Using computers to study organic reactions
• Using computers to study the structures of molecules
• Iron-catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation
• Development of the test kits for the detection of counterfeit drugs
• Development of novel anticancer drugs for the treatment of "undruggable" cancers
• Development of the novel database for the AI prediction of anticancer drugs
