Abstract

This course is an effort to demonstrate the origins, underlying reasons and incentives of the digitalization sweeping the world. The Review of the development of digital technologies is carried out in three main dimensions: the continuity of scientific thought, the effect that Digital renders on national economies (and on the global economy as a whole), and radical changes in business models that are beginning to broadly determine all social development. The final part of the course is intended to discuss the opportunities offered by the active implementation of digital technologies, including those available for young economists studying at the HSE.
