Competitive Advantages

Applied Social Psychology trains students in theoretical and applied social psychology, preparing them for careers in academia or in applied research settings. Students can enroll in a double-degree track, which will enable them to earn a degree from Tilburg University (the Netherlands) in addition to a degree from HSE University. Courses are taught by HSE lecturers and renowned experts from leading social and psychological schools worldwide. Students choose the areas that they wish to focus on so that they are well equipped to launch their careers after graduation.

Professional Activities and Competencies of Programme Graduates

Graduates of the program "Applied social psychology" are currently employed in international companies and large Russian corporations (e.g. Gazprom, Severstal, etc). They are also highly valued in recruitment agencies and consulting centers. Fluent and skilled professional communication in English, and the skills of statistical data analysis contribute to our graduates' competitiveness on both Russian and international labor markets. According to surveys, 100% of the graduates were hired within the first year after graduation, and most of them use skills and knowledge obtained at the program in their everyday professional lives. Moreover, many students start working before graduation. Among those who choose the double degree option, around 40% stay employed in the Netherlands after successful internship in Dutch companies. Large number of the graduates work as researchers and continue their path in academia by enrolling to PhD programs in Russia and abroad.
