Nandan Unnikrishnan, Distinguished Fellow and Supervisor of theEurasia Programme at the Observer Research Foundation (ORF), will talk at HSE University about the challenges and prospects of Russia-Indiarelations on December 8. The seminar will take place as part of the ‘India and Global Policy Challenges’ project.Olga Kharina, Research Fellow at the HSE Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, and Nandan Unnikrishnan talked to the HSE News Service about the project.

During his visit to ICEF, Sergey Tsyplakov, a professor in finance at Moore School of Business of the University of South Carolina, delivered a lecture to students and contributed to ICEF-CInSt 11th International Moscow Finance Conference as a keynote speaker. In this interview, Sergey shares what surprised him about ICEF students, why scientific paper reviewing may not always be objective, and why people on Wall Street read academic research.

On October 6, Dr Wang Wen, Executive Dean of Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies (RDCY) and Vice President of Silk Road School, Renmin University of China (RUC), will speak on 'China-Russia Cooperation: Opportunities and Challenges' at HSE University. In the run-up to the event, the HSE News Service talked to Dr Wang Wen about the current state of Sino-Russian economic relations.

On March 12, Master’s programme Psychology in Business held an open masterclass that focused on positive psychology and its place in business psychology. The speakers included Dr Lisa Matthewman, from University of Westminster and Andrey Evdokimov, the programme graduate and business psychologist.

On February 10, Dr. Choong-Yong Ahn, Distinguished Professor of Economics of the Graduate School of International Studies (Chung-Ang University, Seoul) will take part in an online meeting of the Economic Policy Discussion Club organized by HSE University. He will talk about Korea’s economic development and the country’s astonishingly rapid and effective industrialization. Dr Ahn has spoken with HSE News Service about factors that have contributed to Korea’s success and the role of government in steering the Korean economy.

This December, HSE University’s Poletayev Institute for Theoretical and Historical Studies in the Humanities hosted Professor Juliane Fürst, from Leibniz Centre for Contemporary History, who gave a lecture about Soviet hippies and the Soviet Flower Power. In an interview with HSE News Service, Professor Fürst spoke about her interest in Soviet subcultures and her research plans.
