In the Netherlands, the lack of a reliable automatic police report classification system was seriously hampering the detection of domestic violence. An international group of researchers, which included Associate Professor of the HSE's Department of Data Analysis and Artificial Intelligence Dmitry Ignatov found an effective solution. They proposed an automatic classification method which allows for faster detection and response to domestic violence.
