Third annual summer neurolinguistic school has ended

More than 100 participants from Russia, Europe, America and other parts of the world visited Summer school 2016.

Higher School of Economics in Moscow hosted a 5th annual conference of the International Center for the Study of Institutions and Development (ICSID) «Political Economy of Inequality» on June 20-22, 2016. 

6th LCSR Summer School program is available online

Program of the 6th LCSR Summer School is published on the Laboratory site. The school will be held in July 25 – August 5, 2016, in Moscow, Russia.

Workshop 'High-dimensional Statistics'

On July 20-21 an international workshop 'Nonparametric and High-dimensional Statistics' took place in Heidelberg, Germany. Before the ceremony, Rae Kwon Chung, Principal Advisor on Climate Change at the Executive Office of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and a member of Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change which was awarded Nobel peace prize in 2007, delivered a lecture on Reformulating Economics to Serve Sustainable Development.

Russia's Top Innovation-driven Regions Announced
Russian regions differ significantly in terms of their attitude to innovation, according to a new release of the Russian Regional Innovational Development Ranking prepared by the HSE's experts. Thus, almost one-third of all industrial companies in Chuvashia have implemented innovative technology, while more than half of all manufactured goods in Sakhalin Region are products of innovation; in contrast, little innovative activity is observed in most territories of the North Caucasus. Tatarstan, Moscow and St. Petersburg top the list of Russian regions focused on innovation.

Russian Regional Innovation Development Ranking has a new leader

On 29 June, 2016 the Higher School of Economics’ Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge at a press briefing hosted by the TASS news agency in the video conference format bringing together participants from Moscow, Kazan, and St. Petersburg, presented the fourth issue of Russian Regional Innovation Development Ranking. The new ranking is now headed by Tatarstan. For the first time since 2008 Moscow has lost its leading position.
