Program of the 6th LCSR Summer School is published on the Laboratory site. The school will be held in July 25 – August 5, 2016, in Moscow, Russia.
On July 20-21 an international workshop 'Nonparametric and High-dimensional Statistics' took place in Heidelberg, Germany. The event was organised by the Laboratory of Stochastic Analysis and its Applications, Research Training Group 'Statistical Modeling of Complex Systems and Processes' Heidelberg / Mannheim and MAThematics Center Heidelberg.

Russian regions differ significantly in terms of their attitude to innovation, according to a new release of the Russian Regional Innovational Development Ranking prepared by the HSE's experts. Thus, almost one-third of all industrial companies in Chuvashia have implemented innovative technology, while more than half of all manufactured goods in Sakhalin Region are products of innovation; in contrast, little innovative activity is observed in most territories of the North Caucasus. Tatarstan, Moscow and St. Petersburg top the list of Russian regions focused on innovation.
On 29 June, 2016 the Higher School of Economics’ Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge at a press briefing hosted by the TASS news agency in the video conference format bringing together participants from Moscow, Kazan, and St. Petersburg, presented the fourth issue of Russian Regional Innovation Development Ranking. The new ranking is now headed by Tatarstan. For the first time since 2008 Moscow has lost its leading position.
