On January 19th, IDLab hosted a workshop on study about digitalization. The speaker was Sofia Paklina who is the young researcher of the Lab.

On January 19 the sports economics research workshop was held. The speaker was  Gregory Teplykh, young researcher at teh IDLAb. At the workshop, he presented a paper exploring the determinants of the success of Russian football clubs.

On Wednesday, January 17 the all-Russian seminar "Mathematical methods of decision analysis in economics, finance and politics" was held. Professors Gorelov M.A. and Ereshko F.I. gave a lecture on «Blockchain techonology and control models in digital society»

Prof. Evgeny Feigin, member of Laboratory of algebraic geometry and its applications scientific group, got Moscow Government Award for young scientists.

Master’s programme in  Governance of Science, Technology, and Innovation has been offered by HSE ISSEK since 2014. It helps students acquire knowledge about science, technology and innovation management and policy. Below,  Dirk Meissner , Academic Supervisor of the programme, talks about its key features and development. Besides, first and second-year international students describe their reasons for enrolling in the programme and share their experience of studying at HSE.

ICSID Research Fellows Ora John Reuter and David Szakonyi took part in the 89th Annual Meeting of the Southern Political Science Association, which was held in New Orleans, USA, on January 4 – 6, 2018.

David Isaksson, the author of the article, examines the Russian research field by visiting the European University of Saint Petersburg, talking with foreign scientists in Russia and reflecting on freedom of expression in Russian universities.
