The Institute of State and Law of the Russian Academy of Sciences held The Eighth International Scientific and Practical Conference «Bachilov Readings». The event focused on pressing issues of digital transformation, information security, and the protection of sovereignty amid global technological changes. Senior Research Fellow of the International Laboratory of Digital Transformation in Public Administration at the HSE University Evgeny Diskin delivered a report titled «Current Challenges for Russia’s Information Sovereignty».

The International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration Research Fellow Aisylu Ataeva participated in the fourth International Conference "Digital Transformation of Social and Economic Systems – DIGITAL2025".

The journal "Zakon" (No 1, January 2025) published an article by Evgenii Diskin, Senior Researcher at the International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration at IGMU HSE University, dedicated to the analysis of the blocking of foreign Internet platforms in Russia and the prospects for their further operation.

Within the framework of regular IPAG seminars Research fellow of the International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration Aisylu Atayeva made a presentation on "AI in scientific research". She considered AI not as a substitute for scientists, but as an assistant, interlocutor and sparring partner at various stages of the scientific process, especially when preparing scientific publications.

The International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration (HSE University) presented the results of a large-scale study at an expanded meeting of the Bank of Russia, which brought together more than 1,350 participants. Evgeny Styrin, Head of the laboratory, and Anna Sanina, Leading Research Fellow, made a presentation on "Human-Centricity in The Context of Digital Transformation and The Use of Artificial Intelligence in The Banking Sector". HSE Laboratory of Human-Centricity and Leadership Practices also participated in the research presented that day.

During the past year, scientists at HSE University have worked on five strategic projects aimed at advancing key areas essential to the development of modern individuals and society. Each of these projects is unique, yet they share common goals: creating innovative product solutions, generating fresh ideas for the economy, social sector, science, and education, and contributing to the university's research potential.

International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration together with the Bank of Russia and the Laboratory of Human-centeredness and Leadership Practices completed an applied study of human-centeredness in the digital transformation of the banking sector using artificial intelligence. Researchers presented the results at the Central Bank of Russia's conference “Focus on the Customer 2024”.

On December 19, 2024, the eighth and final seminar "Dynamics of environmental management, climate and biological productivity of landscapes of Buryatia and Tuva in the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries" was held

Scientists at Privolzhsky Research Medical University (PRMU) and the Centre for Language and Brain Studies at the HSE Campus in Nizhny Novgorod have developed methods to diagnose autoaggressive and heteroaggressive tendencies in adolescents using eye-tracking technology. This will allow psychiatrists and psychologists to address this condition in young people before they may harm themselves or others. Anna Khomenko, Senior Research Fellow of the Centre for Language and Brain Studies at the HSE Campus in Nizhny Novgorod, presented the results of the project at the NeuroThursday seminar.

In 2024, the employees of The International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration carried out a complex project to assess the level of digital maturity of the in Moscow. During this project, they not only conducted a comprehensive assessment of the digital transformation process by surveying a large number of indicators, but also created a unique model for evaluating digital maturity among executive authorities in a large region like Moscow.
