On November 25 Rima-Maria Rahal (PhD, research fellow, Tilburg University, The Netherlands) took part in the "Culture matters" research seminar with the report "Cognitive and affective processes in decision making".

The webinar "Russia in the International Index of Migrant Integration Policy (MIPEX)" dedicated to the international launch of the results of the MIPEX study in Russia was organized by the Center for Sociocultural Research of the Higher School of Economics on November, 19 via the Zoom platform. 

On November 18 Bastian Jaeger (PhD, Associate Professor, Tilburg University, The Netherlands) took part in the "Culture matters" research seminar with the report "Facial discrimination: A social bias perspective on first impressions".

On November 11 Dimitris Kilakos (PhD, Adjunct Lecturer, University of West Attica, Greece) took part in the "Culture matters" research seminar with the report "Modern conservatisation and the "truth regime" of the pandemic".

On November 6 Klaus Boehnke (PhD, professor, Jacobs University Bremen, Germany, Deputy Director, Center for Socio-Cultural Research, HSE) took part in the "Culture matters" research seminar with the report "Does COVID-19 propel value change: A comparison of Germany and the United Kingdom?".

The International Research Conference "Acculturation and Intercultural Relations: Post-Soviet Experience" is organized by the Center for Sociocultural Research of the National Research University Higher School of Economics, and was beheld on November 2, 2020, via the Zoom platform.

The pandemic has put global development on hold and this is a chance for Russia to occupy market niches that were previously closed. But innovation should become as essential as air and, without information technology, new niches will still not be open. Alexander Chulok, Director of the HSE UniversityCentre for Science and Technology Foresight, spoke about this in a special report at the global conference‘Accelerate Global 2020’.

On October 28 Olga Kovbasyuk (PhD, associate professor, European Business School, Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University) took part in the "Culture matters" research seminar with the report "Russian Cultural Patterns: Addressing the Challenge of Raising Individual Responsibility".

The academic achievements of Dmitry Zaytsev, Leading Research Fellow of the International Laboratory for Applied Network Research, were recognized in the HSE Science Foundation competition framework. Congratulations to Dmitry on the recognition of his research results and the received academic allowance of the 3rd level for publication in an international peer-reviewed scientific journal for one year.
