James Kung, Yan Ai Foundation Professor of Social Science at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, was among the keynote speakers at the Second World Congress of Comparative Economics «1917 –2017: Revolution and Evolution in Economic Development» in Saint Petersburg on June 15-17, 2017.
The Second World Congress of Comparative Economics “1917 –2017: Revolution and Evolution in Economic Development” was held at National Research University Higher School of Economics (St. Petersburg, Russia) on June 15 – 17, 2017, following the first successful meeting in Rome in 2015.
DeCAn lab organized a visit of Professor Federico Valenciano from Departamento de Economía Aplicada IV Universidad del País Vasco (Bilbao, Spain) to our university. During the visit Professor Valenciano gavi a course of lectures on network analysis.
On 7th of June 2017 at XII International Forum of Knowledge Assets Dynamics IFKAD2017, Anna Bykova presented the results of joint research with Carlos Jardon entitled “Relational capital from foreign partners as source of value creation: the mediation role of companies’ dynamic capabilities”.
Carlos Fernandez has presented PLS approach on the workshop, Grigorii Teplykh presented intermediate results on current research and Angel Barajas discussed the necessity for extending data bases of the laboratory
Julian G. Waller, Ph.D Candidate at the Department of Political Science at the George Washington University and ICSID Visiting Researcher, presented his research on "Popular Perceptions and the De Facto Role of Political Parties in the Euromaidan Protests of 2013-2014" at another meeting of the regular ICSID-CSDSI Seminar on June 6, 2017. The event was held jointly with the HSE seminar on political economy.
HSE International Center for the Study of Institutions and Development (ICSID) and NES Center for the Study of Diversity and Social Interactions held their joint Research Seminar on Diversity and Developmenton on May 30, 2017.
The third seminar ‘Modern demography’ of the International laboratory for population and health took place on the 25th of May. Alexander V. Nemtsov, MD, the head of the department of Moscow research institute of psychiatry of the Ministry of health of the Russian Federation, presented a paper on alcohol consumption in Russia in 1965-2015.
