Stephen Sodoke, a graduate of the «Population and Development» program, has published his first research article entitled «Beyond grid connection: A Q-methodology study of stakeholder perspectives on energy poverty in urban Ghana» in the journal Energy Research and Social Science, a leading global journal in energy policy and sustainable development. The article is based on his Master's thesis, which was supervised by Ilya V. Ermolin and defended earlier this year. The research examines the complex interplay of economic, cultural, and infrastructural factors affecting energy access in urban Ghana—a phenomenon known as energy poverty. Stephen and his colleagues successfully applied the Q-sort methodology to analyze different actors' perceptions of energy access and proposed new regulatory measures for urban energy grid distribution across social groups.
