‘Academicus Modus’ Field Research and Education School at the Voronovo Study Centre HSE

Love Umesi as one of the Winners of the 2017 Higher School of Economics NIRS Research Paper Competition was invited among all to the  ‘‘Academicus Modus’’ Field Research and Education School at the Voronovo Study Centre HSE, from 2nd to 4th March 2018, where the participants were privileged to attend courses on different aspects of academic skills development

Within the framework of the school, participants formed interdisciplinary teams and worked on a project within one of three "big challenges" in-line with their area of interest.
The main thematic areas were:

  • How to reduce inequalities and achieve sustainable development in the global world?
  • How does Internet technology affect the life of modern man?
  • How to build a person's living space in the era of robotics and artificial intelligence?
One of the goals of the programme was to form Research Groups that will continue to brainstorm on some of the issues that are prevalent in order to make relevant recommendations that will improve the situation. In all, it was a refreshing time at the Study Centre. Kudos! to HSE for taking the initiative to bring minds together to be exposed to further knowledge and synergize for good. I hope it is sustained in the long run for lasting results.
