European Youth Forum General Assembly

Our student, Vera Syrokvash, attended the European Youth Forum General Assembly, which was held November 22-24 at the European Youth Capital-2019 Novi Sad, Serbia. 

217 delegates from the national youth councils and international non-governmental youth organizations worked together for approximately 30 hours, setting policy guidelines, deciding on membership applications and adopting the governing rules of the organization. During the General Assembly, delegates discussed upon and adopted a motion on combating antisemitism, a resolution for fair remuneration of creators and free internet, a resolution on the right to conscientious objection to military service in Europe and much more! General Assembly is the highest decision-making body of the Youth Forum, which, in a term, strives for youth rights in international institutions such as the European Union, the Council of Europe and the United Nations.
