Course Syllabus

Abstract

This research seminar is aimed at supporting the process of Term papers preparation, covering the main research stages, such as topic selection, research design, choice of methodology, data collection, literature review, and results’ presentation. These aspects are discussed from the perspectives of Computational Social and Network sciences, which allows students to gain a deeper knowledge of o the current trends and methodological and theoretical advancements in these fields. Current ideas, problems, and projects in the field of Network analysis are discussed at the seminar jointly with the projects of the students. Within the course, the students are intended to prepare a Research Term paper, following a scientifically oriented track of the program and / or having main interest in the field of network analysis theory and methodology. The seminar is aimed at developing and stimulating students' skills of research and publication activity. Important goal of the seminar is to promote a proper structuring of research in the field of Network analysis.
