Bachelor’s Programme 'HSE University and Kyung Hee University Double Degree Programme in Economics and Politics in Asia'

The ‘Economics and Politics in Asia’ BA Double Degree Programme offers students a unique opportunity to pursue two degrees, one Russian and one Korean, from HSE and Kyung Hee University. The first two years, as well as the fourth year, are held in HSE University in Moscow, while in the third year, students have an opportunity to study in South Korea, China or Japan.

Students select their study track in the first year. The programme's major courses focus on the economics, politics, foreign policy, society and culture of China, Japan or South Korea, as well as Asian languages. The first semester of the third year is aimed at consolidating and expanding language skills while studying at Kyung Hee University (for Korean studies) or at one of Kyung Hee University’s partner universities in China, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia or Vietnam. Then, during the second semester of the third year, students get to study the practical aspects of additional specializations in addition to their core track.

Graduates receive:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Area Studies from HSE University;
  • A Bachelor of International Studies (Chinese/Korean/Japanese/Southeast Asian Studies) from Kyung Hee University;
  • An additional specialization certificate in Global Business or International Relations.
