Student Research Paper Competition 2023 Begins
On September 1st, a new season of the open Student Research Paper Competition (SRPC) started. This competition is aimed at developing the potential of university students who are interested in academic activities. Students, as well as 2023 graduates of Russian and foreign universities, can submit their papers for the competition until October 15th, 2023. This year SRPC turns 20 years old, throughout the competition’s history, Vadim Radaev, HSE University’s First Vice Rector, has been the chair of the organising committee. In today’s interview, he talks about the history of the competition and the key stages in its development.
Graduation Ceremony of the Program "Population and Development"
On the program "Population and development" On July 3, 2023, a solemn graduation of students took place. The graduation ceremony was held in a friendly atmosphere, in which the students heard the wishes of their mentors. Vladimir Al. Kozlov, the previous academic head of the program, congratulated the students in a video message. The professors of the program also left their wishes to the graduates.
‘Football Brings People Together’: Faculty of Social Science Took Second Place at the First HSE Football Tournament among Foreign Students
The Higher School of Economics organized its first ever-mini football tournament for international students. The exciting competition took place on Sunday 28th May. The event which engaged spectators with excitement and curiosity had 6 teams at the “Energia” Stadium. Students Tell: Session, exams, and preparation
As in other programmes, students in the department are required to write exams to be awarded the degree. The summer session will start in less than a month and we decided to talk to the students of our educational program to find out how they prepare for exams and cope with stress during the session.

Fedor Shvets came to Russia from Kazakhstan, graduated from the Bachelor’s programme in Sociology and Social Informatics at HSE University in St Petersburg, and is currently studying for his Master’s degree in Population and Development at HSE University in Moscow.
