  • Ivan Klimov, academic director of the DASS programme, will talk about the features of the programme update.
  • Daria Maltseva, head of the International Laboratory for Applied Network Research (ANR-Lab), will talk about how undergraduates organize their research work.
  • Irina Pavlova, deputy head of ANR-Lab, will talk about the features of admission to the programme, changes in the curriculum of the master's programme and the introduction of two tracks (1) Computational Social and Network Sciences and (2) Applied Statistics and Data Science.
  • Natalia Matveeva, researcher at ANR-Lab, will talk about the laboratory’s research projects and the possibilities of applying network analysis skills in project work.
14:00Workshop 'How we are all interconnected: basic terms of network analysis'
During the workshop, Anna Semenova, junior research fellow at ANR-Lab and graduate student of the Department of Mathematics of the Faculty of Economics and Science of the National Research University Higher School of Economics, and Artem Oganyan, research assistant at ANR-Lab, will introduce you to the basic terms and concepts of network analysis. Artificial intelligence promises to revolutionize the way scientific research is done. However, significant challenges remain in this nascent field, and the purpose of this workshop is to review and discuss these challenges. Is a digital navigator possible for research planning? How deeply has automation penetrated the publishing industry? How to deal with unfair use of AI by reviewers? When will the creation of specialized educational materials that take into account the individual needs of students be realized?
16:00Free communication, Q&A
