Evgeny Yasin is saying that it is very important to stay optimistic despite the circumstances (just like he is). He wishes the first year students success. And the biggest success in his opinion is satisfaction from the process of studying. 'The rest is also important but not so interesting.'
Alexander Shokhin: 'I am truly jealous of you because you not only study but also communicate a lot. Twenty five years ago HSE was very small and now there is no building that can accommodate us all. That's why we are meeting in the park.'
Yaroslav Kuzminov: 'There is no such thing as ultimate knowledge that you can get at university. Here you evaluate existing knowledge and try to improve it. You do not emulate someone else's knowledge. You create your own.' The rector hopes the students will benefit greatly from their studies at HSE
