Top Managers of Leading Russian and International Companies Deliver Lectures and Master Classes at the HSE Graduate School of Business

Sixteen top managers of leading Russian and international companies gave online guest lectures and master classes at the HSE Graduate School of Business. CEOs and department heads spoke to students of all Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes of GSB.

Speakers talked about the most topical issues of modern business: from global trends in marketing and management of the future, IT trends, logistics, and retail to strategic consulting, digitalization, and competences and skills for digital economy.

CEO of RAEC, Sergey Plutarenko spoke with students about the Runet (Russian internet – ed.) of yesterday, today, and tomorrow. He noted that in 2020, the year that proved all predictions wrong, people had to reconsider many things. ‘It is interesting to answer questions about whether digital economy is winning or not, what we should prepare for in the future, which professions are going to be in demand, and what kind of place our country will occupy in the digital economy. The lecture can serve as a springboard for students to think of potential new niches that can be filled in order to advance the digital economy in the 2030s.’

1C CEO Boris Nurgaliev talked about the capabilities of modern ERP systems, which tend to be the main solution for enterprises when they are going digital. He singled out the 4th generation of ERP for its flexible, open cloud solutions. Boris also shared his thoughts on the Russian government programme, Personnel for Digital Economy, discussed what knowledge and skills early career professionals should possess, and emphasized that there has been an increased demand for specialists. ‘Thankes to faster production cycles, reduced inventory, and improved order processing, 1C profits in the 185 published implementations have increased by 13% on average. You can be either the ones who implement, or the ones who develop IT solutions,’  said Boris Nurgaliev.

1C has a joint department with HSE GSB and its representatives sit on the Advisory Committee of Business Informatics at HSE University. The company will be involved in teaching the Minor in Corporate Information Systems and ‘ERP Systems’ course.

Two Additional HSE – Moscow Programmes Receive International ZEvA Accreditation

The Central Agency for Evaluation and Accreditation (ZEvA) determined that the HSE Bachelor’s programme in ‘Sociology’ and the HSE Master’s programme in ‘Comparative Social Research’ meet international educational quality standards. Both programmes have been accredited unconditionally for six years.

HSE Student Joins Extended Ranks of the Worldskills Russia National Team

How Will the New Academic Year Start for International Students?

Classes will begin on-campus on September 1 (for some graduate programmes on October 1), and wearing masks in university buildings and dormitories will be mandatory for all students and teachers. HSE University will arrange online learning with mandatory support from professors for newly enrolled international students who are currently unable to travel to Russia.
