2025 Scientific Collaboration Outcomes: HSE University in Perm and Iran University of Science and Technology
The first year of the project "Internationalization of Companies from Developing Countries: The Role of Intellectual Resources in Response to Exogenous Shocks", implemented in 2025–2027 under the HSE University Joint Basic Research Projects ‘International Academic Cooperation’ competition, has been successfully concluded. The project is carried out by the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy at HSE University in collaboration with Iran University of Science and Technology, under the supervision of Maria Molodchik and Amir Zakeri. All planned commitments for the first year have been fully fulfilled.

On December 17, 2025, the second joint seminar between the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy (IDLab) and Iran University of Science and Technology took place. The seminar was held as part of the research project titled “The Role of Intangible Resources in the Internationalization of Firms from Developing Countries under Exogenous Shocks,” implemented with the support of the Competition of Joint Basic Research Projects ‘International Academic Cooperation of HSE University’.

Special workshop on Foresight-studies in BRICS countries took place in the framework of XV International Academic Conference ‘Foresight and Science, Technology and Innovation Policy’. Experts from Russia, China, South Africa, Brazil, Egypt, Iran and India discussed the role of Foresight in STI policy, AI usage in forecasting and challenges of digital era.

IDLab seminar: linking workplace practices and burnout indicators in employee reviews
On December 19, 2025, within the framework of a regular scientific seminar at the International Laboratory of Intangible-Driven Economy, research fellow Sophia Paklina presented a paper titled "Workplace Practices and Burnout Signals in Employee Reviews". The study, conducted jointly with Peter Parshakov, Alexey Smirnov and Elena Shakina, is focused on analyzing the relationship between corporate benefits and management practices and the risk of employee burnout. It is carried out as part of Russian Science Foundation project No. 25-18-01037 "Professional Burnout Syndrome: Identification Using Artificial Intelligence Methods and Economic Impact Assessment".

International Conference on Foresight and STI Policy took place at HSE ISSEK
XV International Academic Conference ‘Foresight and Science, Technology and Innovation Policy’organized by HSE University Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge took place on 12-14 November 2025.  This year programme included nine thematic sessions and special workshop for BRICS countries. The conference traditionally became a platform for discussing the future of technology, transformation of labor markets, creative economy, role of artificial intelligence, and sustainable development, bringing together experts around the world from: Russia, China, India, South Africa, Brazil, Egypt, Iran, the UAE, Indonesia, Australia, the UK, Malaysia and other countries.

The current research title is “Institutional Comparison of Public Service Models in China, the United States and Russia: Marketization, Centralized Governance and Hybrid Governance in the Era of Artificial Intelligence”.

On December 4, 2025, Evgeny Knyazev, Head of the Molecular Physiology Laboratory at HSE University, delivered a presentation titled "Modeling Preeclampsia and Inflammatory Bowel Diseases Using Placenta-on-a-Chip and Intestine-on-a-Chip Models" at the III International Forum of Genomic and Biomedical Technologies "From Birth to Active Longevity" in Surgut.

Round table "Digital Transformation of Public administration: trends and risks"

The Russian State University for the Humanities organized conference of "Social Contract in Modern Russia: Points of Agreement and Points of Tension". It included a round table meeting "Digital Transformation of Public Administration: Trends and Risks" which was held in the Analytical Center under the Government of the Russian Federation in a hybrid format. Leading researcher of the International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration (HSE University) Anna Sanina participated in the round table.
