On November 19, 2025, Ilya Naidanov, a graduate of the PhD program in Applied Economics, presented at the research seminar of the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy (IDLab). He shared findings from the study titled "The Impact of Social Media Comments on the Profitability of Russian Companies," conducted jointly with Marina Zaveryaeva, a research fellow at the laboratory. The research was carried out with the support of the Russian Science Foundation (RSF) grant № 23-78-10149 "Factors of Intensification of SME Resources under External Uncertainty."

Within the framework of the HSE University Expert and analytical forum, a session of experts from the Institute for Public Administration and Governance (HSE University), including staff from the International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration was held. The participants discussed their experience in attracting young HSE researchers to expert and analytical work, as well as the specifics of interaction with experienced experts and representatives of a government customer. 

The neural network analysed nearly a million 12×12 m plots and found that the rate of shrub spread varies from 2.4% to 26.1% per decade, depending on local conditions. The study showed that mature shrubs prefer well-drained slopes, while new colonisation occurs on flatter areas, which opens up opportunities for predicting further shrubification of the Arctic under climate change conditions

The International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration (The Laboratory) of the HSE University held a seminar with the participation of representatives of government authorities. During the seminar, the Laboratory's experts presented their reports.

From November 8 to 11, Anna Daviy, a junior research fellow at the International Laboratory for Economics of Intangible Assets at HSE Perm, participated in the work of the 8th International Conference “International Conference on Entrepreneurship for Sustainability & Impact” (ESI), held under the theme “Frontier Technologies for Resilient Economies.” The event brought together scientists and experts from all over the world to discuss how advanced technologies — from artificial intelligence and digital finance to climate solutions and logistics — affect economic, social, and ethical aspects of development. The conference included four days of intensive work, seven panel discussions and presentations by seven keynote speakers.

October 30–31, 2025, researchers from 16 Russian and 9 foreign universities discussed the processes of internationalization in developing economies at the Perm campus of HSE University as part of the XII International Conference on Applied Research in Economics - iCare. Research by a collaborative team from HSE University's Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, Moscow State University, and the Shemyakin-Ovchinnikov Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences has been officially published in the international journal Stat. The study addresses a critical challenge in biomedicine: determining whether machine learning algorithms identify genuine biological patterns or merely overfit to random noise in data.
