From November 13-15, 2023, in a distance format, International Laboratory for Social Integration Research, HSE University in partnership with The Journal of Social Policy Studies, held the III International Research Conference "Interaction. Integration. Inclusion in the era of sociality crisis".

Vitaly Kurenoy has lectured on cinema in a remote format for the participants of the ILSIR Autumn school.

On October 30th, the ILSIR Autumn school "Cinema as mediator: cinematic images in participatory social researches and practices" has opened its doors.

In the period from October 31 to December 05, 2023, the International Laboratory of Landscape Ecology conducts the series of seminars on the topic "Current methods and approaches in landscape and environmental research". On November 08, the second seminar of the series on the topic "Pedestrian comfort as a tool for urban landscape research" was held.

On October 24, 2023, the staff of theInternational Laboratory for Population and Health presented a new tool for research in health and mortality of the Russian population: the Russian Database of Short-term Mortality Fluctuations, created within the framework of the project "Monitoring and Forecasting of Life Expectancy Based on Current Statistics"

On October 18, 2023, Konstantin Obukhov and Darya Moiseeva participated in the "Research for NGOs" conference with a presentation based on their research on volunteers and regional NGOs, titled "NGOs and Pro Bono Volunteers: Interaction Formats".

The seminar was hosted by the head of the Laboratory, Elena Iarskaia-Smirnova, as part of the course for sociology students "Diversity, Equality, Inclusion".

On October 4, 2023, the first seminar of our Laboratory this academic year was held on the topic "Editorial portfolio and other forms of temporality of Soviet book publishing: on the material of the Molodaya Gvardiya publishing house of the late 1950s - early 1970s".

The event was organized on the base of the Faculty of Geology and Geography of Tomsk State University in Khakassia (Malaya Syya, Shirinsky district). The co-organizers were the Department of Geography of TSU, the Russian chapter of the International Association of Landscape Ecology (IALE-Russia), GC "Geoscan" and JSC "Tomskgiprozem", the Tomsk Branch of the Russian Geographical Society and the International Laboratory of Landscape Ecology of the Higher School of Economics.

Marina Aleksandrova presented at the conference the results of her dissertation research on the topic: “The Application of Natural Language Processing Methods for prediction of item nonresponse: evidence from the ESS”.
