The Sexuality and Social Work Interest Group is an international network of academics, students, practitioners and service users that seeks to develop knowledge and practice innovations in the field of sexuality studies and social work. It seeks to encourage connections between members and interested organizations to enable further research and practice development. Muhammad Umer Ehsan  - the student of program "Population and Development" shares his experience of participating this conference.

Report on Cultural Diversity, Migration and Educational Conference (University of Potsdam)
With millions of migrants and refugees arriving in Europe and over 65 million displaced worldwide, the understanding of cultural diversity, migration, and the educational integration and the adaptation of both the newcomers and the receiving countries continues to be a major concern to all stakeholders.

The summer school which was organized by SRH University Heidelberg, Germany took place from June 26 to July 3, 2016 and it covered topic such as Diversity, politics and society, social security and legal framework, Challenges for the Educational Sector and Applied Diversity. It was complemented by social and cultural activities introducing German culture and history. Ebenezer Adu-Darko - the student of program "Population and Development" shares his experience of participating this school.

From May 30 to June 19 students can vote for HSE’s best teachers of the academic year. This year students and alumni can submit their scores online. You can choose your candidate from the faculty list — no more than two lecturers and two teachers conducting workshops or practical training — in LMS module ‘Rate Your Courses’ right after the required assessment of your teachers and courses. If your candidate is not on the list, you can indicate him or her in the ‘Other teacher (specify full name)’ category. In addition to recognition, the best teachers will also receive a bonus.

Public Policy Department invites you to participate in the Spring School, taught entirely in English, from 13 to 19 of May!

One of the HSE’s newly launched Master’s programmes – Population and Development – aims to train specialists who can develop solutions to many of today’s economic and social challenges. Taught entirely in English and offering courses in public administration, economics, demography and statistical analysis, the programme has partnerships with universities in France, Germany, Italy and Belgium.

On January 31st – February 3^rd 2016, the Winter School of the Faculty of Social Sciences was held at the ‘Voronovo’ Learning Centre, HSE. During the event, potential master’s students took part in master classes, business cases and meetings with students and graduates of the faculty’s educational programmes.
