International Antitrust Discussion Platform to be based at HSE
On the 22-23rd June the BRICS Competition Law and Policy Forum took place at HSE St Petersburg. The international conference was organised jointly by the HSE-Skolkovo Institute for Law and Development, the Centre for Law, Economics and Society at UCL and the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS). Heads of antitrust departments and experts from the BRICS and the EEC were joined by leading academics and experts on competition law from Europe and the US.

HSE Student Wins 2015 Labcitoyen French competition!
Tatiana Shakhova, a third-year student in HSE’s Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, has won the 2015 Labcitoyen competition. This year’s Labcitoyen competition was carried out by the Institut Français (Paris) and the Institut Français of Russia as part of preparation for the United Nations Climate Change Conference, or COP21, scheduled to take place in Paris in November and December 2015. The grand prize was a trip to Paris to attend the conference.
HSE Perm Undergrad Makes it into Top-15 in International Paper Competition
Aleksei Chmykhov, a senior in HSE Perm’s undergraduate Economics programme, has been selected as a finalist in the internationalNew Economic Talent 2015 paper competition organised by the Czech Republic’s Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education - Economics Institute (CERGE-EI).
Student Initiative Competition Winners Announced
There are 14 student project winners in the second student initiative support competition. This year, for the first time, entries included projects from the HSE St Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod and Perm campuses.

Anna Artyushina, postgratuate student at the HSE, studied the trends in laboratory cooperation trends in the biotechnology field – one of the most competitive areas of science.

HSE Students to Participate in the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2013 World Final
Students of the HSE School of Software Engineering won the Russian final of the Microsoft Imagine Cup contest for software projects on April 6, 2013, in Moscow. Now they will represent Russia in the Microsoft Imagine Cup World Final in July 2013 in Saint Petersburg.
