The HSE Graduate School of Business won the ‘Best Project/Programme for Engaging Youth in Positive Change’ category in the ESG Excellence Award. This award is given annually to recognise achievements in the fields of sustainable development and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) for their significant social impact. Among the award winners and nominees are major Russian companies and organisations that are recognised as leaders in the ESG agenda and make a substantial contribution to the sustainable development of Russia's economy and society.
HSE Scientists Propose AI-Driven Solutions for Medical Applications
Artificial intelligence will not replace medical professionals but can serve as an excellent assistant to them. Healthcare requires advanced technologies capable of rapidly analysing and monitoring patients' conditions. HSE scientists have integrated AI in preoperative planning and postoperative outcome evaluation for spinal surgery and developed an automated intelligent system to assess the biomechanics of the arms and legs.
Smartphones Not Used for Digital Learning among Russian School Students
Despite the widespread use of smartphones, teachers have not fully integrated them into the teaching and learning process, including for developing students' digital skills. Irina Dvoretskaya, Research Fellow at the HSE Institute of Education, has examined the patterns of mobile device use for learning among students in grades 9 to 11.

ADCR Awards: HSE University Wins in Ten Nominations
In early October, the award ceremony for the winners of ADCR Awards, a Russian professional competition in creativity, design and advertising, took place. This year, all the prizes in the Graphic Design/Product Design category were taken by HSE students. Additionally, the HSE Art and Design School has once again been named the School of the Year, and Leonid Slavin has been recognised as the tutor of the year. In 2024, participants submitted a record 649 works to the competition, of which 84 received awards in various categories.

Engine for Game Development Created at HSE University
The ‘Game Engineering and Interactive Systems’ workshop team of the HSE Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (MIEM) invites everyone to participate in testing the Claw Engine, the first version of their game development program. On October 12, 2024, the HSE Сampus on Pokrovka hosted the annual career fair STROY.FEST, organised by DOM.RF in cooperation with HSE's Career Development Centre. The event focused on careers in the construction industry in eco-friendly cities. Students had the chance to meet representatives from various companies, participate in workshops, learn about internship opportunities, and receive gifts and career advice from potential employers.
