Bachelor’s Programme 'HSE and University of London Double Degree Programme in Data Science and Business Analytics'

The aim of this programme is to train analysts and data scientists who are experienced in modern methods of machine learning, software development, working with big data and developing analytical models for business. The programme is based on the successful experience of HSE’s Bachelor’s programme in Applied Mathematics and Informatics and the longstanding work of the London School of Economics and Political Science (University of London).

Graduates of the programme will receive:

  • Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Informatics, HSE
  • Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Business Analytics, University of London

IDAO finals 2019

From April 4 to April 6, the final of the International Olympiad for Data Analysis IDAO-2019, organized by the Faculty of computer science of HSE and Yandex Computer Science Department with the support of Sberbank, was held at the Yandex office. 31 teams reached the final stage, more than a thousand could not overcome the qualifying stage in which the task was from the muon research group of the LHCb collaboration of the Large Hadron Collider.

On February 18, the online round of the International Data Analysis Olympiad (IDAO) officially finished. The Data analysis competition is organized by the HSE Faculty of Computer Science and Yandex with the support of Sberbank. This year 1287 teams from 78 countries took part in the online round.

How Students Spent the Longest Night of the Year

On December 21, HSE students organized an Art & Science space called ‘NOCH’ (‘NIGHT’) on the site of the SAMSKARA exhibition at the ArtPlay Design Center in Moscow. Over the course of the seven-hour event, participants discussed the search for extraterrestrial civilizations, the significance of gender differences in post-industrial society, the use of modern technologies to meld art and science, and other exciting topics.
