Russia Hosts First International Economics Olympiad for High School Students
From September 15 – 21, Moscow will host the very first International Economics Olympiad for high school students. Students from 15 countries who have won national competitions in economics and finance will take part in the event. Russian high school students have the opportunity to compete online.

All HSE Students Are Taught Data Analysis. What Does This Mean?
The Data Culture project at HSE is celebrating its first anniversary! Its key concept is that all students should possess at least basic competencies in data analysis, since data skills are increasingly becoming an entry-level requirement for professionals in almost every field. More than half of all HSE programmes were involved in the project in its first year. In the following academic year, the project is being expanded to cover all programmes and all students. HSE has ranked 7th amongst universities in Eurasia. The ranking has been compiled for the first time by Times Higher Education and is presented by Kazan Federal University.
Bachelor's Programme in Software Engineering Receives Prestigious International Accreditation
The high quality of HSE’s Bachelor programme has been recognised by experts on the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), the headquarters of which are located in the U.S. For more than 85 years, ABET has been accrediting college and university programmes in the applied and natural sciences, computing, engineering and engineering technology. HSE’s Software Engineering programme is the only one in Russia to have received this accreditation.

Having fallen in love with Moscow and the Russian culture during an exchange programme three years ago at HSE, Alis Maria Endres, a native of Germany, decided that she wanted to return to the university to complete a Master’s degree in management. In order to be able to study in Russian, Alis Maria first enrolled in HSE's International Preparatory Year programme.
