Fifth year student at the HSE Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics Maria Pavlova (Applied Mathematics major) was one of the winners, with her project to ‘develop an automated device to diagnose heart disease’.

Head of HSE International Organizations Research Institute Awarded Honorary Diploma by the President of Russia
Dr. Marina Larionova, Head of the International Organizations Research Institute has been awarded with Honorary Diploma by the President of the Russian Federation for contribution to social and economic development of Russia, working achievements, public activities and longstanding dedicated work.
Two HSE students have won the Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship, founded by Google to support women studying computer technology. The scholarship is awarded for academic achievement, leadership qualities and interest in computer sciences.
London Connection, online magazine of the University of London International programmes published an interview with Vassiliy Kosov, ICEF BSc Economics and Finance graduate of 2014, and spoke to him about studying for two degrees concurrently, winning a scholarship to LSE, and the economic outlook for Russia.

Tatiana Shakhova, a third-year student in HSE’s Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, has won the 2015 Labcitoyen competition. This year’s Labcitoyen competition was carried out by the Institut Français (Paris) and the Institut Français of Russia as part of preparation for the United Nations Climate Change Conference, or COP21, scheduled to take place in Paris in November and December 2015. The grand prize was a trip to Paris to attend the conference.

Second year Software Engineering students Vadim Drobinin and Alexander Zimin have been named the winners of the WWDC Scholarship. In June they will take part in the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which is an annual international conference for Apple developers held in California 8-12 June.
