‘Education Is the Formation of Horizons and Economic Thinking’
What are the modern trends in economic education and how are they incorporated in HSE programmes? Why do economists need machine learning and artificial intelligence? Is it necessary to attend lectures and how can students get the most out of their bachelor's programme? How radical are the changes in economic laws that have occurred in recent years? These questions and many other topics were discussed by Sergey Pekarski, Dean of Faculty of Economic Sciences (FES), and interns of the Laboratory for Economic Journalism.
‘Our Graduates’ Task Is To Show Themselves as Designers’
In mid-July, HSE Art and Design School hosted the graduate fashion show for the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes in the Fashion Design and Fashion Brand Creation pathways. Guests saw 20 collections from young designers, with each of them reflecting on an exciting topic, while creating unusual images from a variety of materials.

The Bachelor’s in Information Science and Computation Technology (ISCT) at HSE MIEM trains experts in the study and design of advanced computing devices, systems, and networks. Graduates of the programme are sought-after specialists in the fields of software development, computer production and sales, computing department management and more. The programme attracts students from across Russia and further afield. On July 5th, at HSE University’s Centre of Cultures, the first graduates of the Bachelor’s programme in Chemistry were awarded their diplomas. The programme was created in 2019 with the support of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Studying at the new faculty, the young researchers have achieved impressive scientific results, with 21 graduates publishing 46 co-authored articles in international scientific journals.

The ‘Foreign Languages and Intercultural Communication in Business’ programme at HSE University in Perm places a special emphasis on learning a second foreign language, offering students a choice of German, French, or Chinese. ‘We Would Be Happy to See More Iranian Students at Our University’
HSE University has hosted the signing of cooperation agreements with two Iranian universities—Allameh Tabataba’i University (ATU) and the University of Isfahan (UI). Delegations from the universities led by ATU President Abdollah Motamedi and UI President Hossein Harsij visited HSE University and met with Rector Nikita Anisimov and staff of the HSE International Office led by Vice Rector Victoria Panova.

Two Qualifications, Projects with 18 Companies, and Studies in English
The International Bachelor's in Business and Economics opened at HSE University-St Petersburg a year ago.
