HSE University-St Petersburg has opened a representative office at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) in Surabaya, Indonesia. The corresponding agreements were reached during a working trip by a delegation headed by HSE University-St Petersburg Director Anna Tyshetskaya.

The English-taught Master's programme 'Comparative Politics of Eurasia' at the HSE Campus in St Petersburg trains specialists in the internal and external politics of post-Soviet countries. Students learn how to combine qualitative and quantitative methods of analysis with theoretical approaches from various social sciences. The programme has three educational tracks: one in research and two applied ones. Andrey Starodubtsev, Academic Supervisor of the programme, explains which subjects students will learn and where they will be able to undertake internships.

Between March 27 and May 17, applications are open for the Mirror Lab Project Competition. The term 'language barrier' refers to any difficulties that arise when speaking a non-native language. Almost every person studying a foreign language has experienced this unpleasant phenomenon. The reasons for this problem include a fear of the unknown, a fear of mistakes, embarrassment because of one's accent, a fear of being misunderstood and much more. All of these problems are a psychological component of the language barrier. The Master's programme 'Global and Regional History' is taught in English at HSE University in St Petersburg and has two educational tracks: one historical and one anthropological. The International Bachelor's in Business and Economics opened at HSE University-St Petersburg a year ago. The programme offers English-taught studies in both economics and management at the same time. It is supported by corporate partners: VK, Gazprom, Sberbank, and others.
