IDLab Employees Presented Results of RSF Project at International Conference on Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development in Qatar
From November 8 to 11, Anna Daviy, a junior research fellow at the International Laboratory for Economics of Intangible Assets at HSE Perm, participated in the work of the 8th International Conference “International Conference on Entrepreneurship for Sustainability & Impact” (ESI), held under the theme “Frontier Technologies for Resilient Economies.” The event brought together scientists and experts from all over the world to discuss how advanced technologies — from artificial intelligence and digital finance to climate solutions and logistics — affect economic, social, and ethical aspects of development. The conference included four days of intensive work, seven panel discussions and presentations by seven keynote speakers.

The International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration systems (HSE University) Senior Research Fellow Evgeny Diskin took part in the event "Platform Economy Day", organized by the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation The National Centre RUSSIA and the State Development Corporation VEB.RF. The event was held at the site of the Rossiya National Center and was dedicated to the role of digital platforms in ensuring sustainable economic growth, digitalization of public procurement, formation of ecosystems and the development of a new trading model.

HSE Researchers Develop Method to Verify Reliability of Computer-Based Cancer Recurrence Prediction

A "non-random classifier" based on IGFBP6 and ELOVL5 gene expression.
Research by a collaborative team from HSE University's Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, Moscow State University, and the Shemyakin-Ovchinnikov Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences has been officially published in the international journal Stat. The study addresses a critical challenge in biomedicine: determining whether machine learning algorithms identify genuine biological patterns or merely overfit to random noise in data.

IDLab and Iran University of Science and Technology Launch a Series of Educational Seminars for Young Researchers
The first seminar of the new educational cycle, organized by the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy (IDLab) of HSE University jointly with the Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST), took place on October 31, 2025.The series of events is aimed at developing young researchers' skills in preparing and publishing academic articles. The first seminar was dedicated to the literature review - both traditional and AI-driven methods of conducting it. The event was held within the framework of the HSE University's "International Academic Cooperation" project and gathered around 30 participants - PhD students and students from Russia and Iran.

The International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration organized a seminar, where Omer Iluz made a presentation «Digital Governance and Public Administration». He presented the results of a study conducted under supervision of The Laboratory Academic Supervisor, Professor of the Department of Public Administration and Politics at the School of Political Sciences of the University of Haifa Eran Vigoda-Gadot.

On October 31, 2025, Natalia Vasilievna Bulchenko, a research intern at the Moscow Literary Institute for Social Studies and a second-year postgraduate student at the HSE Graduate School of Sociological Sciences, presented a paper at the interdisciplinary conference "Comorbidity Field 2.0: Sociocultural Dimensions of Health, Illness, and Medicine," organized by the HSE St. Petersburg School of Humanities and Arts, the HSE Faculty of Humanities, the HSE Ronald Franklin Inglehart Laboratory for Comparative Social Research, the Student Research Society of the Department of History of the HSE St. Petersburg School of Humanities and Arts, and the HSE Research and Study Group "History of Russian Psychiatry: New Approaches to Study."

The 3rd Interdisciplinary Conference "Exploring the Deaf Community – 2025: On the Periphery of Attention" was held at the GES-2 Community Center.
From October 17-19, 2025, the 3rd Interdisciplinary Conference   "Studying the Deaf Community – 2025: On the Periphery of Attention"  was held at the GES-2 Community Center. It was organized with the participation of the International Laboratory for Social Integration Research. Speakers from 20 countries participating, presenting over 90 papers on the culture, languages, and experiences of the deaf community. The RDC-2025 laboratory team also presented four studies prepared over the past year. These studies focused on the social structure of deaf society, the formation of deaf identity in bilingual education based on the archives of a Moscow gymnasium, sign singing in deaf culture and its perception by deaf and hard of hearing people, and clubs as a center for the development of deaf culture.

Starting November 1, 2025, with the support of the Khamovniki Foundation for Social Research, a project will begin. As a result, our laboratory's junior research fellow, Tatyana Larkina, will describe the daily work routines of Russian teachers, reveal the social drama of teaching, and demonstrate how employees of general education organizations repeatedly make numerous choices in situations of value conflicts and contradictory and uncertain demands on their professional roles.
