Winners of New RSF Awards Include Projects from Four Campuses of HSE University
The Russian Science Foundation has completed its review of projects submitted for grants to support fundamental and exploratory research by teams, as well as 2022 grant winners applying for project extensions. In addition, interdisciplinary projects for fundamental and exploratory research awarded under the Presidential funding programme have been announced. Projects awarded under each of the three categories include submissions from researchers at all four campuses of HSE University.

At a recent research seminar hosted by the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy (IDLab) at HSE University, Perm, Laboratory Head Petr Parshakov presented findings from a new study on how people perceive text written by artificial intelligence versus humans. The results were unexpected—and challenge common assumptions about AI.The research team included Yulia Naidenova, Deputy Head of the Lab; Sofia Paklina, Junior Research Fellow; Nikita Matkin, Research Assistant; and Cornel Nesseler, Professor at the University of Stavanger, Norway.

Two research projects from the HSE University Perm have been awarded grants by the Russian Science Foundation (RSF). The projects were selected as part of the RSF’s competitive funding program for fundamental and exploratory research carried out by individual scientific groups. Out of nearly 4,500 proposals, 534 were selected based on expert review—including two from the International Laboratory of Intangible-driven Economy at HSE University
